Information and Communications Technology Internships

NZTRI is also looking in 2011 for students who are working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or comparable field of studies as interns. The ICT interns can participate in a broad range of web-based activities at NZTRI which allow them to gain hands-on experiences to benefit their future employment opportunities. 

Student Interns gain real world experiences by applying their knowledge to our projects and daily operations. NZTRI also gain additional staffing support and input to strengthen its operations.

Students will receive a full range of experiences in  database design, database sql, web server configuration, application of PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, graphic design, web application development and working on third party applications, e.g. Drupal content management application, and survey software.

The internships positions can vary between 3 to 6 months. 

NZTRI has had a wide variety of ICT students and ICT projects in the last 10 years. Examples of students with ICT interest include Yiwen Huang, Carolyn Deuchar, Vladimir Garkavenko, Tim West-Newman.
